Start your morning with a relaxed breakfast surrounded by the natural beauty of Nubra. If not visited earlier, head to the peaceful Diskit Monastery, where you can marvel at ancient Buddhist art and take in panoramic views of the valley from the hilltop.

You can take a short walk through a nearby village, where traditional Ladakhi homes and warm locals give you a deeper connection to the culture. Feel free to enjoy a moment of peace by the banks of the Nubra River before beginning your journey back to Leh.

  • 4 Excursion to Pangong Lake via Chang La Pass & Return to Leh

Start your day early with a hearty breakfast as you prepare for a spectacular journey to the world-renowned Pangong Lake, one of the highest saltwater lakes in the world.

The drive takes you through the dramatic landscape of Ladakh via the lofty Chang La Pass, standing tall at over 17,500 feet. As you ascend the pass, admire the prayer flags fluttering against snow-covered peaks and the raw beauty of the Trans-Himalayan terrain.

En route, stop at the Thiksey Monastery, an impressive hilltop complex known for its large seated statue of Maitreya Buddha and peaceful prayer halls. You’ll also pass Shey Palace, once the summer seat of Ladakhi royalty.

By midday, arrive at the mesmerizing Pangong Tso, famous for its ever-changing hues of blue and its cinematic fame from the movie 3 Idiots. Spend time strolling along the shore, soaking in the silence and grandeur of the lake, and clicking stunning photos—especially at the “3 Idiots Point” marked by the iconic yellow scooter and movie props.

After taking in the pristine beauty of the lake and enjoying some light refreshments, begin your journey back to Leh. The return drive offers a fresh perspective on the landscape and another chance to appreciate Ladakh’s remote and rugged charm.
